About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to support their purchasing operations in Sheffield . This role is essential for providing data-driven insights that inform procurement strategies, optimize spending, and improve supplier performance. You will be responsible for analyzing spend data, tracking key performance indicators, and supporting the procurement team in identifying cost-saving opportunities. This is an office-based role, offering a structured environment to contribute to strategic decision-making within the purchasing function. The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background and a passion for uncovering efficiencies through data.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze organizational spend data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support the procurement team in vendor selection, contract analysis, and negotiation preparation.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and provide insights to drive improvements.
- Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning for procurement activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the procurement function using analytical tools and methodologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst or in a similar analytical role within procurement or finance.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or BI platforms.
- Experience in spend analysis, cost modeling, and performance reporting.
- Excellent understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
- Strong communication skills to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related analytical field.
