About the Role
Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their procurement department in Wolverhampton . This role is essential for providing insights into procurement activities, supplier performance, and market trends to support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for data collection, analysis, and reporting, helping to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize the supply chain. This position offers a flexible hybrid working model, allowing you to contribute your analytical expertise effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data related to spending, supplier performance, and market conditions.
- Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and risk mitigation within the supply chain.
- Support category managers and buyers with market intelligence and data analysis for sourcing events.
- Assist in supplier evaluation and performance management activities.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across procurement systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst or in a similar data analysis role within procurement.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
- Excellent understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
- Experience with procurement software and ERP systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
