This Procurement Consultant role focuses on managing procurement projects across Adult Social Care, Children's Services, and Public Health. You'll play a key part in ensuring the public sector achieves value for money and delivers essential services effectively.

Leading pre-market engagement activities Advising on appropriate routes to market Developing procurement strategies and supporting governance approvals Supporting the development of procurement documentation Acting as a critical friend during specification development Designing commercial models and pricing schedules Supporting the development of technical evaluation questions and weightings Managing procurement exercises through the Council's eTendering systems (Delta/Mercell) Managing supplier communications and market engagement Handling procurement clarifications Facilitating competitive dialogue processes where required Managing evaluation activities and moderation sessions Supporting award recommendations and governance approvals Assisting with contract mobilisation and handover activities

Profile

Proven experience delivering end-to-end procurement projects Strong understanding of UK public sector procurement regulations and best practice Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills Experience working collaboratively with technical and operational teams Strong commercial awareness and procurement strategy development skills Experience using eTendering platforms such as Delta or Mercell Excellent communication, facilitation, and project management capabilities

Job Offer
