About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Procurement Executive to manage the acquisition of various goods and services for their esteemed institution in Oxford . This role is integral to ensuring operational efficiency by securing high-quality resources at competitive prices. You will be responsible for the full procure-to-pay cycle, from identifying needs and sourcing suppliers to negotiating terms and managing contracts. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the smooth functioning of the organization's supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for assigned categories of goods and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery criteria.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable pricing and contract terms.
- Process purchase orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement requirements and provide support.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Familiarity with the procure-to-pay process and contract management principles.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is a plus.
