About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Lead to oversee purchasing activities and drive best practices within their organization, supporting operations in Oxford . This role involves managing a portfolio of procurement projects, developing effective sourcing strategies, and fostering strong supplier partnerships. You will play a key role in optimizing spend, mitigating supply chain risks, and ensuring value for money across various indirect and direct spend areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a deep understanding of procurement methodologies, contributing significantly to the efficiency and success of the procurement function in Oxford .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage procurement projects from inception to completion.
• Develop and implement category strategies to maximize value and minimize risk.
• Negotiate high-impact contracts and agreements with key suppliers.
• Manage and mentor junior procurement staff and develop team capabilities.
• Analyze market data and supplier performance to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Procurement Lead , Senior Buyer, or Category Management role.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives.
