About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Lead to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and manage key supplier relationships in Brighton . This leadership role involves overseeing the procurement function, developing and implementing best practices, and mentoring a team of procurement professionals. You will be responsible for significant spend categories, focusing on achieving substantial cost savings, enhancing supplier performance, and mitigating supply chain risks. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the procurement team, setting objectives and providing guidance for professional development.
• Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies for key spend categories, aligning with business goals.
• Conduct complex negotiations with major suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
• Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance and maximizing value throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Implement and refine procurement processes and systems to enhance efficiency and control.
• Collaborate with senior management and other departments to identify strategic sourcing opportunities and address business needs.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in procurement leadership, with a strong understanding of strategic sourcing and category management.
• Proven success in leading teams and managing complex, high-value procurement projects.
• Expertise in negotiation, contract law, and risk management within supply chains.
• Strong analytical, financial acumen, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPS) and a degree in a related field are highly desirable.
