Procurement Manager - Indirect Spend

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic Procurement Manager with a focus on indirect spend to join their team in Belfast . This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of non-production goods and services, such as IT, marketing, and facilities management, across the organization. You will lead sourcing initiatives, develop category strategies, and build strong relationships with key suppliers to drive value and efficiency. This position requires a seasoned procurement professional who can influence stakeholders and deliver significant cost savings while ensuring the quality and reliability of essential services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for indirect spend areas.
• Lead complex sourcing projects and negotiations with suppliers for services and indirect goods.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk within assigned categories.
• Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiencies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and align procurement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with a strong focus on indirect spend.
• Proven experience in leading complex sourcing initiatives and managing multi-category supplier relationships.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience with e-sourcing tools and P2P systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Understanding of contract law and risk management principles.
