Procurement Manager - Indirect Spend

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Procurement Manager to oversee indirect spend categories for their operations in Plymouth . This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies that deliver significant cost savings, mitigate risk, and ensure the supply of high-quality goods and services. You will manage a portfolio of suppliers, lead complex negotiations, and collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the business to align procurement activities with strategic objectives. This is a key position within the supply chain function, driving value and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for indirect spend areas such as IT, marketing, facilities, and professional services.
• Lead complex sourcing projects, including RFx processes, supplier selection, and contract award.
• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify best practices, cost drivers, and potential supply risks.
• Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and service level agreements with key suppliers.
• Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships to foster innovation and performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and all relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Procurement Management , with a strong focus on indirect categories.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives and achieving substantial cost savings.
• Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk assessment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholders.
• Relevant degree or professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) is preferred.
