Procurement Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead their purchasing efforts in a fully remote capacity, supporting their operations based in Nottingham . You will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies across various categories of goods and services. This role requires strong leadership qualities, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage a remote team effectively. You will play a critical role in optimizing the company's supply chain and ensuring strategic alignment of procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and policies to meet business objectives.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of procurement professionals, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze spend data and market intelligence to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement solutions support business goals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management , with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Proven experience in leading and managing remote teams.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated success in achieving significant cost savings and process improvements.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
