About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Procurement Manager to lead their purchasing function based remotely, serving their operations in Bristol . This strategic role will involve developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to drive cost savings, enhance supplier performance, and ensure supply chain resilience. You will be responsible for managing a team, overseeing major sourcing projects, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled negotiator with a comprehensive understanding of global procurement best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Manage key supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring optimal performance and value.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Oversee the tendering process for major projects and procurement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs and ensure effective procurement support.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a senior procurement leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing high-value contracts.
- Deep understanding of supply chain management, risk management, and ethical sourcing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
