About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead their procurement operations from their offices in Bristol . This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, managing a team of procurement professionals, and driving significant cost savings and value across all spend categories. You will play a key role in shaping the company's supplier relationships and ensuring the procurement function is a strategic partner to the business. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee all aspects of the procurement process, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships across the organization to ensure procurement needs are met effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical guidelines, and relevant regulations.
Requirements
- Significant experience (7+ years) in procurement, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies that deliver substantial cost savings.
- Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, category management, and best practices in procurement.
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
