About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead their purchasing function in Bradford . This senior role requires a proven leader capable of developing and executing robust procurement strategies, managing key supplier relationships, and driving significant cost efficiencies across the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of buyers and ensuring that all procurement activities align with company goals and ethical standards. This is a critical position for an individual looking to take charge of procurement operations within a well-established business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of the overall procurement strategy .
Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
Oversee the negotiation and management of major supplier contracts and framework agreements.
Drive cost reduction initiatives and ensure value for money in all purchasing activities.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement department.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies in procurement processes.

Requirements

Significant experience in a Procurement Management role, with a strong track record of success.
Expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of procurement systems and best practices.
Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective procurement plans.
A relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable.
