About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Procurement Manager to lead their purchasing operations in Bristol . This role is responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, managing key supplier relationships, and driving significant cost savings across all spend categories. You will lead a team of procurement professionals, ensuring adherence to best practices, ethical standards, and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with company goals and market dynamics.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage and optimise supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts, terms, and service level agreements.
- Conduct thorough market analysis and risk assessments to ensure supply chain resilience and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee the entire procurement process, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to understand their needs and integrate procurement activities effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, with proven leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and international procurement practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; CIPS qualification is highly desirable.
