About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead their purchasing function in Derby, Derbyshire . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to achieve business objectives and cost targets.
• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing management role, with a strong track record of delivering cost savings.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
