This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with organisational goals, managing a team of procurement professionals, and driving significant cost savings across all spend categories. You will oversee supplier relationships, risk management, and ensure best practices in ethical and sustainable sourcing. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery across the organisation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
- Manage major supplier contracts, conduct complex negotiations, and oversee supplier performance management.
- Implement robust risk management frameworks for the supply chain and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, embracing new technologies and methodologies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align procurement activities with business objectives and financial targets.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a proven track record in a management role.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in managing and developing teams.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Relevant degree and professional qualifications such as CIPS are highly regarded.
