Procurement Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Procurement Manager to lead their procurement function in Edinburgh . This role will involve developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement in sourcing processes. You will be responsible for overseeing significant spend, negotiating high-value contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the procurement landscape in the Edinburgh region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Lead negotiations with key suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favourable terms, and service level agreements.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, contract management, and performance monitoring.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a procurement management role, with a proven track record of strategic sourcing and cost reduction.
• Demonstrable expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, market dynamics, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement systems and analytics tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, or Economics.
