About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Procurement Manager to lead their procurement function in Wolverhampton . This leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive procurement strategies across all categories of spend, driving significant cost savings, and ensuring supply chain resilience. You will manage a team of procurement professionals, foster strong supplier relationships, and collaborate closely with senior management to align procurement goals with overall business objectives. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly motivated procurement leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement organization-wide procurement policies and procedures.
- Lead and mentor a team of buyers and procurement specialists, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee the end-to-end sourcing process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Identify and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve quality, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Manage key supplier relationships at an executive level and drive strategic partnerships.
- Analyze market trends and business needs to develop long-term procurement plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in a procurement management or senior sourcing role, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and contract negotiation.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices and market dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline; MCIPS preferred.
