Procurement Officer - Facilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer with a focus on Facilities Management to join their team in Sheffield . This role is responsible for procuring a wide range of goods and services related to the maintenance, operation, and improvement of company facilities. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts for services such as cleaning, security, and maintenance, and ensure cost-effectiveness and quality. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of facilities procurement and a proactive approach to managing supplier performance, contributing to a smooth and efficient working environment through effective purchasing, operating within a hybrid work structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for all facilities-related goods and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for services including maintenance, cleaning, security, and utilities.
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to achieve cost savings and ensure high service standards.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular reviews, and manage contract renewals.
• Collaborate with facilities management teams and other internal stakeholders to understand their requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in procurement.

Requirements

• Experience as a Procurement Officer or buyer, with a specialization in facilities management or related services.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing service contracts.
• Good understanding of the facilities management sector and associated suppliers.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
