Procurement Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and efficient Procurement Officer to join their vital purchasing team in Bradford . This role is focused on the operational aspects of procurement, ensuring that all necessary goods and services are procured effectively, on time, and within budget. You will play a key part in managing supplier interactions, processing purchase orders, and maintaining procurement records. This position is suited for an organized individual with a foundational understanding of procurement processes who is keen to contribute to the smooth running of the company's supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and raise purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations, and ensure competitive pricing for goods and services.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities and supplier agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or invoicing.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs.
• Assist in the preparation of procurement reports and data analysis.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement support role.
• Solid understanding of procurement procedures and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data entry and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good communication skills for dealing with suppliers and internal teams.
• Familiarity with procurement software is a plus.
