About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Procurement Officer to join their purchasing team, operating entirely remotely. This role is integral to managing the day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will be responsible for processing purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, maintaining procurement records, and supporting broader sourcing initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery dates, and resolve any issues.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all procurement activities, including contracts and invoices.
- Support senior procurement staff in sourcing activities, supplier research, and bid analysis.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures in all transactions.
- Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to contribute to relationship management.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or administrative role.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adapted for remote interaction.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a remote work setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
