Procurement Specialist - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join their central procurement team, operating on a remote basis. You will play a crucial role in sourcing and managing the supply of raw materials, packaging, and services for their extensive FMCG operations . This position requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of procurement best practices, and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers globally. You will contribute significantly to cost savings and supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate with, and manage suppliers to secure the best terms for raw materials, packaging, and operational services.
• Conduct market analysis to identify potential new suppliers and assess market trends impacting procurement.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery, addressing any issues proactively.
• Manage inventory levels of procured goods in collaboration with the supply chain team.
• Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiencies.
• Prepare and present procurement reports and data analysis to senior management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or Buyer, ideally within the FMCG industry .
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and contracts effectively.
• Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for a remote role.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
