Procurement Specialist - FMCG

This role is essential for managing the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods necessary for production and operations. You will play a key part in negotiating contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness, maintaining supplier relationships, and upholding quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and procure a wide range of goods and services, ensuring best value and quality for the company.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, evaluating their performance regularly.
• Manage contract negotiations and ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
• Conduct market analysis to identify potential new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and manage the purchasing system.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical sourcing practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain and sourcing principles.
• Proficiency in procurement software and strong analytical skills, particularly in Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaig with suppliers and internal teams.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPS) is advantageous.
