Our client is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist focusing on Indirect Spend to join their purchasing team in Plymouth . This role is essential for managing the acquisition of goods and services that are not directly related to production, such as office supplies, IT equipment, and professional services. You will be responsible for optimising procurement processes, negotiating with a diverse range of suppliers, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance. This is a key role for a procurement professional looking to make a significant impact in managing non-production expenditures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for various categories of indirect spend , ensuring value for money.
- Conduct detailed market analysis to identify best-in-class suppliers and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers for contracts, pricing, and service level agreements for indirect categories.
- Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across different departments to understand their needs and procure services efficiently.
- Ensure all procurement activities for indirect spend comply with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
