Product Development Scientist - FMCG

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the formulation and development of new FMCG products from concept ideation through to final production.
• Conduct extensive laboratory research, experimentation, and testing to optimize product performance, stability, and sensory attributes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve formulation issues, ensuring products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing, to ensure successful product launches.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for product characterization and quality control.
• Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements, industry trends, and competitor activities to foster continuous innovation.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in product development within the FMCG industry (e.g., food, beverages, personal care).
• Strong understanding of formulation science, ingredient functionality, and product manufacturing processes.
• Experience with analytical techniques and quality control procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to experimentation and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
