About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Product Development Scientist to join their research and development team, operating entirely remotely. This role is crucial for the creation and enhancement of new and existing products within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. You will be responsible for driving product innovation from concept to launch, conducting rigorous scientific research, formulation development, and product testing. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the formulation, development, and optimization of new FMCG products from concept to commercialization.
• Conduct scientific research, literature reviews, and feasibility studies to identify innovative product opportunities.
• Perform laboratory work, including ingredient sourcing, formulation trials, and stability testing.
• Develop and execute product testing protocols to ensure quality, safety, and performance meet required standards.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product launch.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges encountered during product development and scale-up.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development within the FMCG or related consumer goods industries.
• Strong background in formulation science, sensory evaluation, and analytical techniques.
• Proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote R&D setting.
