About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Product Development Scientist to join their Research & Development team in Liverpool . This role is central to the creation and improvement of new and existing FMCG products, ensuring they meet consumer needs and market standards. You will conduct experiments, analyze results, and work closely with cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to launch. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the innovation pipeline of a leading FMCG company, applying scientific expertise to develop cutting-edge products that delight consumers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development activities to formulate and optimize new FMCG products.
- Perform laboratory experiments, analyze data, and document findings meticulously.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and regulatory affairs teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Scale up new product formulations from laboratory to pilot and commercial production.
- Ensure all product development activities comply with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Stay abreast of scientific advancements, industry trends, and competitor activities in product development.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in product development within the FMCG industry .
- Strong understanding of formulation science, sensory evaluation, and analytical techniques.
- Experience with pilot plant operations and scale-up processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
