About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Product Development Technologist to join their dynamic FMCG product development team in Brighton . This role is essential for conceptualising, developing, and launching new food products that meet consumer needs and market trends. You will work closely with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality, safety, and commercial viability from concept to shelf. Key Responsibilities

• Develop new FMCG food products from concept through to launch, ensuring alignment with market trends and consumer needs.
• Conduct pilot plant trials and scale-up production processes, working closely with manufacturing teams.
• Ensure all product development adheres to food safety regulations, quality standards, and nutritional requirements.
• Collaborate with the sensory evaluation panel and conduct consumer testing to gather feedback.
• Maintain accurate product development documentation, specifications, and regulatory compliance records.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Development Technologist or similar role in the food industry.
• Strong understanding of food science, product formulation, and manufacturing processes within FMCG.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC) and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
