Our client is seeking a proactive Production Chemical Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Milton Keynes . You will be responsible for monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and product quality. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production processes, identify deviations from optimal performance, and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems related to equipment, process control, and material handling.
- Support the implementation of new equipment and process modifications, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Conduct root cause analyses for production incidents and develop preventative measures.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, seeking opportunities to enhance yield, reduce waste, and improve energy efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably within the chemical industry.
- Familiarity with process control systems (DCS/PLC) and instrumentation.
- Understanding of chemical plant safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach.
- Effective communication skills to liaunt with operators, maintenance, and management.
