About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Production Chemist to join their team in Oxford, Oxfordshire . This hybrid role is essential for optimizing chemical processes and ensuring product quality within the Oil & Gas industry . You will analyze production streams, develop and implement chemical treatment programs, and troubleshoot operational issues related to chemistry. This is a key position for an individual focused on efficiency, safety, and maintaining high standards in chemical applications for oil and gas production.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production fluids and water samples to determine chemical requirements and potential issues.
• Develop, implement, and monitor chemical treatment programs for production enhancement and asset integrity.
• Troubleshoot production problems related to scale, corrosion, paraffin, and emulsions.
• Conduct laboratory testing and field trials for new chemical products and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding chemical usage and disposal.
• Prepare technical reports on chemical performance and recommendations for optimization.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Production Chemist or similar role in the Oil & Gas industry .
• Strong knowledge of production chemistry, including scale, corrosion, and emulsion control.
• Experience with laboratory analysis and interpretation of production chemistry data.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
