About the Role
Our client, a prominent manufacturer of fine chemicals, is looking for a dedicated Production Chemist to join their operational team in Bradford . This role is essential for overseeing and managing chemical production processes, ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for supervising production staff, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and implementing process improvements to enhance yield and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily chemical production activities, ensuring adherence to manufacturing schedules and protocols.
- Monitor process parameters and product quality, implementing adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure all production activities comply with stringent health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage raw material inventory and coordinate with procurement for timely supply.
- Train and mentor production operators on best practices and safety procedures.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in chemical production or manufacturing.
- Practical experience with common chemical synthesis and purification techniques.
- Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
