Production Engineer - Upstream Oil & Gas

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Production Engineer to join their upstream operations team in Manchester, Greater Manchester, UK . This role is crucial for optimizing the performance and efficiency of oil and gas production facilities. You will focus on maximizing output, minimizing downtime, and ensuring the integrity and reliability of production equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in production systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving in the demanding Oil & Gas environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production data to identify operational issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Implement strategies to optimize well performance, including artificial lift systems and surface facilities.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production-related problems in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct production forecasting and contribute to field development planning.
• Collaborate with subsurface and facility engineers to ensure integrated operational plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production engineering within the upstream Oil & Gas sector.
• Proficiency with production monitoring software and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of surface facility operations , artificial lift systems, and wellhead equipment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations in the energy industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational efficiency.
