About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join their manufacturing facility in Liverpool . This critical on-site role will focus on optimizing production processes, ensuring efficient manufacturing operations, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with production teams, maintenance staff, and management to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and drive productivity. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing environments and a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving and process enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize daily production operations to meet output targets and quality standards.
- Identify and address production bottlenecks, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations through root cause analysis.
- Implement process improvements using methodologies such as Lean manufacturing to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for production staff.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production engineering or manufacturing engineering role.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control systems.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools is essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
