Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive Production Engineer to join their innovative team, working remotely to support operations in Portsmouth, Hampshire . This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing production efficiency, and ensuring the smooth operation of all production lines. You will collaborate closely with on-site teams and external stakeholders, utilizing advanced analytical tools and engineering principles to drive improvements. The successful candidate will be adept at remote collaboration and possess a strong understanding of production methodologies, aiming to enhance output and quality standards from wherever they work.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product consistency and adherence to standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Support the integration of new technologies and automation into the production environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote setting.
