Production Line Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Production Line Supervisor to oversee operations at their Sunderland facility. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of production lines, meeting daily output targets, and maintaining high standards of quality. You will lead a team of production operatives, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a productive and cohesive working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production operatives on assigned lines to meet targets.
• Ensure all production activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor production output, quality, and efficiency, taking immediate action to address deviations.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to production staff to enhance skills and performance.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports, including output, downtime, and quality data.
• Implement and reinforce good manufacturing practices (GMP) on the production floor.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong understanding of production processes and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Basic computer literacy for reporting and data entry.
