About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Production Line Supervisor to oversee operations at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Birmingham . You will be responsible for leading a team of production staff, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and product quality. This role requires hands-on leadership and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes to meet production targets and drive operational excellence within the West Midlands plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production line team to meet output and quality goals.
- Ensure all production processes adhere to strict safety regulations and company quality standards.
- Train new employees on production procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Monitor production equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource allocation.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical qualification is a plus.
