About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Production Manager to lead their food manufacturing operations in Oxford . This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are met. You will manage a dedicated production team, optimize workflows, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet demand for our client's high-quality food products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production management, a commitment to HACCP and food safety standards, and the leadership skills to foster a motivated and high-performing team within the Oxford facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize daily production operations to meet targets for volume, quality, and cost.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and hygiene standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the production team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor production performance, analyze data, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Manage raw material inventory and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely supply.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Sales, to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Production Management role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of HACCP, BRC, and other food safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a production team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Proficiency in relevant manufacturing software and MS Office.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
