About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Production Manager to lead their manufacturing operations in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of the production process to ensure efficient, high-quality output. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning capabilities, and a deep understanding of manufacturing principles. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and effectively manage resources and personnel to achieve business objectives. A hybrid work arrangement offers flexibility while maintaining essential on-site oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the entire production lifecycle from raw material procurement to finished product delivery.
Develop and implement production strategies to meet demand, quality, and cost targets.
Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring optimal team productivity.
Implement and champion lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement initiatives.
Monitor production performance, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to address deviations.
Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations .

Requirements

Significant experience in a Production Management role within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated expertise in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and operational efficiency strategies.
Proficiency in production software and data analysis tools.
Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational oversight.
