Production Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Production Operations Engineer to join their team in Southampton . You will play a key role in optimizing the performance of production facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and maximizing hydrocarbon recovery. This position requires a strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and troubleshooting within the demanding Oil & Gas industry . You will contribute to operational excellence, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve production targets, all while based in a key coastal hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production data to identify operational issues and opportunities for optimization.
• Troubleshoot production problems, implement corrective actions, and ensure equipment reliability.
• Develop and execute production plans, including well interventions and artificial lift optimization.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in all operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, drilling, and subsurface teams to coordinate activities.
• Manage operational budgets and cost control initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in production operations within the Oil & Gas sector .
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas production facilities, equipment, and processes.
• Experience with artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, gas lift) and well testing.
• Proficiency in production data analysis and reporting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
