About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Production Operations Engineer to join their onshore operations team based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . This role is crucial for optimizing the day-to-day production of oil and gas assets, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations. You will focus on maximizing recovery rates, managing production facilities, and troubleshooting operational issues. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize production performance from oil and gas wells and facilities.
- Develop and implement production enhancement strategies, including artificial lift and well stimulation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage the integrity and maintenance of production equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Collaborate with drilling, reservoir, and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.
- Prepare operational reports and recommendations for improving efficiency and output.
Requirements
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in oil and gas production operations .
- Proven experience with artificial lift systems, well testing, and production optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of surface facilities, processing, and transportation of hydrocarbons.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with HSE regulations and best practices in the Oil & Gas industry .
