About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Production Operations Engineer to join their onshore operations team based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . This role is crucial for optimizing the day-to-day production of oil and gas assets, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations. You will focus on maximizing recovery rates, managing production facilities, and troubleshooting operational issues. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to apply your engineering skills in a hands-on capacity within a key sector of the UK's energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize production performance from oil and gas wells and facilities.
- Develop and implement production enhancement strategies, including artificial lift and well stimulation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage the integrity and maintenance of production equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Collaborate with drilling, reservoir, and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.
- Prepare operational reports and recommendations for improving efficiency and output.
Requirements
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in oil and gas production operations .
- Proven experience with artificial lift systems, well testing, and production optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of surface facilities, processing, and transportation of hydrocarbons.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with HSE regulations and best practices in the Oil & Gas industry .
