Production Operative

Abatec is currently recruiting for a well-established, forward-thinking company specialising in the manufacture and production of high-quality aluminium doors for a range of commercial and industrial applications. They operate in a fast-paced, precision-focused environment, committed to maintaining excellent standards in every product they produce.

The role

They are seeking an experienced, motivated Machine Operator to join their team in the Clevedon/ Yatton area. This role has become available to support growing production demands. The successful candidate can expect a hands-on position operating machinery, with the opportunity to progress from a temporary position to permanent employment after 12 weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machinery within a designated production zone, maintaining output targets with minimal interruptions.
• Set up, adjust, and shut down machines according to operational procedures.
• Minimise material usage and waste.
• Maintain tidiness and organisation in work areas.
• Ensure punctuality and adhere to contracted working hours.

About you

• Previous experience as a machine operator.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Pay rate: £13.98 per hour + 50p per hour attendence bonus
• Temp-to-perm contract after 12 weeks
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating shift 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
