Production Operative (Temporary Contract)
Location: Derby
Temporary Role | Full-Time
Salary: £12.76 per hour
We are looking for a hands‑on, reliable Production Operative to join our busy operations team on a temporary basis. If you enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment, have a keen eye for detail and take pride in delivering quality work, we would love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose, repair and test customer EPOS and hardware equipment.
- Configure devices by installing software, applying customer‑specific settings and updating firmware.
- Complete quality checks to ensure equipment is fully functional and ready for dispatch.
- Follow build instructions, work procedures and customer specifications accurately.
- Receive and book stock into inventory systems.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for delivery.
- Maintain accurate production, repair and stock records.
- Support warehouse and production activities as business needs require.
- Identify and elevate faults, stock discrepancies and quality concerns.
- Help maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse or repair environment.
- An interest in electronics, hardware repair or equipment testing.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
- The ability to follow processes and technical instructions accurately.
- A flexible approach and willingness to support different departments.
- Good teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Experience working towards targets and deadlines.
- Previous experience with EPOS equipment, inventory systems or warehouse management systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
