Production Operative

Extrastaff are delighted to be recruiting for a reliable and flexible Production Operative to join an ever-growing team at a busy indoor plastic recycling facility. This role involves moving materials efficiently around the plant, supporting the recycling process, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Currently for training until beginning of November

Pay: £12.71 p/h, Optional 06:00 - 15:00 or 15:00 - 00:00 shift (Monday to Friday)

November onwards

Pay: Moves to £13.71 p/h, 18:00 - 06:00 shift, 4 on 4 off

Duties of a Production Operative

• Operate baler with stillage.
• Remove stillage from various parts of the warehouse
• Move waste materials to designated processing areas
• Assist with sorting and handling recyclable plastics when required
• Conduct daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance needs
• Watch over and foresee any potential hazards that might bring the sortation lines to a halt. To be able to deal with blockages when they occur
• Follow all health and safety procedures and site regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
