Job Title: Production Operative Location: High Wycombe Department: Production Reporting to: Production Shift Manager Working Pattern: Monday to Friday - Rotating Shifts
Temp Salary: £13.40 + 12% Shift bonus OTE £15.01 per hour
Perm Salary: £27,001 per annum + 12% bonus OTE: £30,241 per annum
Working Hours This is a rotating shift role, alternating weekly:
Early Shift: 05:45 - 14:00 Late Shift: 13:45 - 22:00 Overview of the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment based in High Wycombe. This role is well suited to a reliable and motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Full on-the-job training will be provided, with opportunities to develop skills within a structured production setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble raw materials for preparation, mixing, measuring and packing of finished products Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and automated processes Control temperatures and follow production procedures accurately Execute basic checks and assist with maintaining plant equipment Communicate effectively with other members of the production team to meet production schedules Participate in regular shift handovers and team meetings Work independently and as part of a small team Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality at all times Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Ability to read, write and understand English to a good standard Reliable, trustworthy and able to work without direct supervision Good communication skills Flexible and team-focused approach Strong timekeeping and organisational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Willingness to learn and take on new challenges Physically able to stand for full shifts and lift items up to 25kg Right to work in the UK Desirable:
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment Basic engineering or mechanical knowledge COSHH training or awareness Forklift licence Experience working in a food manufacturing or hygiene-controlled environment (HACCP)
