Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organised and proactive Production Planner to join their team in Norwich . This critical role involves managing the scheduling and sequencing of production activities to meet demand efficiently while optimising resource utilisation. You will work closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products. This position offers a hybrid working model, providing flexibility whilst ensuring effective collaboration within the manufacturing operations in Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, considering material availability, machine capacity, and labour resources.
• Monitor production progress against the schedule, identifying and addressing any deviations or delays.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Communicate production plans and updates to relevant departments, including sales and logistics.
• Analyse production data to identify opportunities for improving planning processes and efficiency.
• Prepare reports on production status, forecast accuracy, and key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Proven experience in production planning , scheduling, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain principles.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency with planning software (e.g., ERP, MRP systems) and MS Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting.
