About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and analytical Production Planner to support their manufacturing operations in Brighton . This role is crucial for ensuring that production schedules are optimized to meet demand efficiently, balancing resource availability with customer orders. You will play a key role in coordinating production activities, managing inventory levels, and liaising with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products. This position requires strong planning skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, considering material availability, machine capacity, and labor resources.
- Monitor production progress against schedules and implement adjustments as needed to address any deviations or delays.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to optimize stock while meeting demand.
- Analyze production data and forecasts to anticipate potential challenges and recommend proactive solutions.
- Prepare reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and inventory status for management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production planning , scheduling, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in using planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, specific manufacturing planning tools).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
