Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join their manufacturing team in Leeds . This hybrid role requires an individual who can effectively manage production schedules, optimize resource allocation, and ensure timely delivery of manufactured goods. You will play a crucial part in aligning production activities with demand forecasts and inventory levels, contributing to the smooth operation of the supply chain and production floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate production schedules to meet customer orders and internal targets.
• Coordinate with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and smooth workflow.
• Monitor production progress and identify potential delays or issues, taking proactive measures to resolve them.
• Optimize resource utilization, including labor, machinery, and materials, to maximize efficiency.

• Maintain accurate records of production activities and prepare regular reports for management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning principles and supply chain management.
• Proficiency in using planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
