About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly organized and analytical Production Planner to join their team, with the option to work remotely or from their offices in Brighton . This role is critical in ensuring that our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently by developing and managing production schedules. You will be responsible for coordinating with various departments, including production, procurement, and sales, to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times. The ideal candidate will possess excellent planning skills, a strong understanding of supply chain principles, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, contributing to strategic operational planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed production plans and schedules based on sales forecasts, order requirements, and resource availability.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to schedules.
- Identify potential production bottlenecks and proactively develop solutions to mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate production data and generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Communicate production status and potential delays to relevant stakeholders, including sales and management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production planning or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and forecasting techniques.
- Proficiency with planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively liaunt with various teams.
