About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and organized Production Planner to join their manufacturing operations team in Brighton . You will be responsible for creating and managing production schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation, and coordinating with various departments to meet production targets and deadlines. This hybrid role requires excellent communication and planning skills, with the ability to balance office-based strategic planning with some on-site coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain logistics, playing a key role in the efficiency of our client's production activities within the vibrant manufacturing hub of East Sussex .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage detailed production schedules to meet demand forecasts and customer orders.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
- Monitor production progress, identify potential delays, and implement contingency plans.
- Optimize resource utilization, including labor, machinery, and materials, to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain accurate production planning data and generate reports on schedule adherence and performance.
- Collaborate with sales and operations to forecast production requirements and manage inventory levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
