Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Production Planner to join their team in Brighton . This role is central to ensuring the efficient scheduling and execution of manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for creating production schedules that balance demand, capacity, and material availability, while working closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to meet deadlines and customer requirements. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills to manage complex scheduling challenges within the East Sussex manufacturing landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, order priorities, and resource availability.
• Monitor production progress, identify potential delays, and implement solutions to keep schedules on track.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Communicate production schedules and updates effectively to the manufacturing floor and relevant departments.
• Analyze production capacity and identify constraints, recommending adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records and assist in forecasting and planning activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows .
