Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and analytical Production Planner to join their operations team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to manage production schedules and resource allocation from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing detailed production plans, ensuring timely delivery of manufactured goods while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and excellent forecasting abilities to meet business demands effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain realistic and efficient production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment of plans.
• Monitor production progress against schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing proactive solutions.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support production needs.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, improve planning processes, and reduce waste.
• Communicate production status updates and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in production planning , scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, lead times, and capacity planning.
• Proficiency with planning software (e.g., ERP systems, APS) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting .
